Public Information & Records Requests
Grama Request Form
The Public Information Department serves as a resource for individuals seeking general information about the district and public records, including media inquiries.
The Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA) is a law in Utah that governs the management and access to government records. Under GRAMA, individuals requesting public records must provide the governmental entity with a written request. The request must include the requestor’s name, mailing address, daytime telephone number (if available), and a description of the record that identifies it with reasonable specificity.
To submit a request, please download this GRAMA Request Form and email it to Lane Findlay, or mail it to:
Lane Findlay
Public Information & Safety Officer
5320 Adams Avenue Parkway
Ogden, UT 84405
Requests can also be submitted using the Utah Division of Archives and Records Service Open Records Portal.
Please allow up to 10 business days for a response, unless you are a member of the media, in which case you may request an expedited five-day response. Appropriate fees may apply according to WSD Policy 6800.
NOTE: Education records, such as diplomas or transcripts, are not subject to release under GRAMA but are instead governed by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). To request education records, please contact our Student Services Department.
