We are excited to celebrate several outstanding CTE accomplishments happening across Weber School District. From leadership and competition success to hands-on collaboration and real-world learning, our students and teachers continue to represent the very best of CTE.
National Blue Collar Tour at Roy High School
Roy High School recently hosted the National Blue Collar Tour, welcoming more than 125 students for a unique opportunity to explore skilled trades and connect with industry professionals. As the tour's only stop in Utah, the event gave students valuable exposure to career pathways in the trades while also bringing exciting support to our district's programs. The Blue Collar Tour team donated equipment and shop tools to the classes in attendance, and they also awarded five $1,000 Western Welding Academy scholarships to selected students, creating a direct impact on students' futures.

Weber Innovation VEX Robotics
At the VEX Robotics State Championship, Team 2323X from Weber Innovation placed fourth in Robot Skills, and won the Design Award earning a qualification to Worlds! They will be one of only five teams representing Utah at Vex Worlds in St. Louis, April 21-24. There they will compete against top teams from around the globe. We are so proud of the hard work these students have put in this season!

FBLA State and Leadership Success
Students from Fremont, Roy, and Bonneville High Schools had an incredible showing at the FBLA State Conference, with students from all three schools earning positions as State FBLA Officers. Weber School District students also found success across a wide range of competitive events, highlighting the strength of our business and leadership programs. It is especially exciting to see many of these students continue a journey that began in junior high, showing the impact of long-term support and strong program alignment. We are proud of the students and the educators who helped make these accomplishments possible.

Weber High ProStart Team
Weber High School's ProStart team demonstrated excellent professionalism, and their performance was phenomenal with teamwork on full display. Their skill represents the very best of CTE. Great job!

Cross-Program Collaboration at Roy High School
Roy High School is also highlighting the power of collaboration through an innovative hydroponics project involving multiple CTE programs. Welding students helped assemble new grow lights for the vertical hydroponics towers, which feature 3D printed parts produced at the school, while computer science students are programming automated watering systems for the greenhouse FarmBot. Agriculture students are already using the towers to grow plants, and additional hanging plant projects will go out on 12th Street in the coming weeks!
