General Information

Student Absences

When you know your child is going to be absent from school please call us before school begins. We will then know your child is safe. Phone: 801-476-5400.

Student Tardy Procedure

It is our policy to issue an admit slip to each student that comes late to school. Parents need to excuse their child(s) tardy. This can be done using one of the following methods:  (1) Come into the office and check your student in.  (2) Send your student with a signed note.  (3) Call the office prior to dropping your student off.

Before and After School

·         Arrive at school no earlier than 8:15 a.m.

·         Remain outside until 8:25 a.m.

·         Enter and exit the school through your homeroom door

·         Leave the school grounds within 15 minutes of the final bell

Student progress reports can be viewed at http://myweber.wsd.net.

School Lunch

We encourage you to pre-pay your child’s breakfast/lunch money at least monthly or quarterly. You will not lose any lunch money if your child does not eat. It will stay in their individual account until used or a parent requests a refund. Visit https://myschoolfees.com/ to set up an account to pay with your credit card.

Student Checkouts

Parents needing to pick up their children from school prior to the end of the school day should report to the office. We will contact the teacher and have your child sent to the office to meet you. This is a very important safety procedure. Teachers are instructed not to release any children from their classes unless instructed by the office. Students will not be allowed to leave school without parent permission.

Visiting School

Parents are welcome and encouraged to visit and volunteer at our school. Please check in at the office and you will receive a visitor’s pass. Please do not disrupt class by dropping off gifts for student birthdays, etc.

Sending Money to School

When you send money to school with your child; please put it in an envelope, seal it, and write the following information on the outside: child’s name, homeroom teacher’s name, grade level, amount, and what it is for.

Telephone

Please make plans in advance with your child as to what to do when school ends each day. When your child has a problem we are happy to let them use the phone. Students should not use it for arranging social engagements. Calling the secretary just before school ends and asking her to deliver a message is very difficult because so many calls are received.

Pick Up/Drop Off From School

Please look at the map and follow the procedures for dropping off and picking up your student. Follow the instructions of the individuals who are assisting in these areas.

Home Prepeared Foods

Home prepared foods cannot be brought to school for birthdays, parties, or class presentations. Items need to be purchased at a store and brought to school for these occasions.
