Midland Elementary School Annual Aquatic Center Activity
Thursday, August 28, 2014, 12:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m.
(permission slip)

Our Aquatic Center Day is scheduled for Thursday, August 28th from 12:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m. We would like to share some information concerning the swim activity.

All of 1st – 6th grade will be attending this activity. If you do not want your student to attend, it is the parent's responsibility to check them out of school before 11:45 a.m. Students will be walking to and from the pool. Students and faculty will leave the school at 12:00 p.m. We will leave the pool to walk back to the school at 2:30 p.m. Faculty and staff will assist students in crossing 4800 S.

If you are taking your child home from the pool, or want your child to go home with another adult, send written permission to the teacher that morning.

There will be two schools at the center during the afternoon session. Faculty and staff from both will be on watch at the activity, as well as lifeguards representing Roy Aquatic Center. With all this help we feel that no additional adult help will be needed. For the safety of the children, only Roy Aquatic and school personnel will be allowed in the swimming pool areas.

Please read the following rules:

The Annual Aquatic Center Activity, which was scheduled for Thursday, September 10th, has been cancelled.  The aquatic center has been unable to find enough qualified lifeguards to staff the Aquatic Center for this activity.  It is hoped this activity will be rescheduled for next spring.

The Treehouse Museum in Ogden (347 E 22nd St) will be holding a Kindergarten Celebration on August 16 from 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Throughout the day, there will be free outside activities and indoor exhibits about literacy and numeracy for families to enjoy.
