Nominate them for the "Apple for the Teacher" Award that is sponsored by the Standard-Examiner.
Take a few moments and fill out the online application at: https://cares.standard.net/contests/. Share a story, tell how the teacher made a difference in your life, or let them know why you appreciate them. Each teacher nominated receives a certificate, and more importantly, a copy of the nomination.
For many teachers, these nominations become treasured memories.

The education process requires continuous instruction, class participation, and study. Frequent absences from class disrupt this instructional process. Success in school is dependent upon good attendance. All the schools that send students to Roy High have chosen attendance as a focus this year. This combined effort is an attempt to increase Roy High's graduation rate. In an effort to help our students with attendance we are implementing a new process of communicating with parents about attendance issues at Midland Elementary. We are asking for your support in securing the regular attendance of your student.
