We are excited to announce the events for the 2016 Math-Science Olympiad.
This year training and practice sessions will be offered before school. We hope participation in these sessions will help students have a have more chances to try and experience the different events. Training or practice sesssion attendance is NOT required to be eligible to try-out to represent the school at the Weber School District Math-Science Olympiad, which will be held on May 16th. Try-outs will be conducted during school hours near the end of April.
Training (going over the rules of the events) and practice sessions will be held Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 7:30 a.m.-8:10 a.m., beginning March 8th and running through March 31st. These sessions are open to students in 3rd through 6th grade and will be held in the 6th grade classrooms.
Dear Weber School District Parents/Guardians,
Weber School District values stakeholder input as part of our education evaluation and improvement process. We are seeking feedback from parents and guardians regarding their student’s teacher(s) and support staff. The information collected from the surveys will be used to inform and increase educator effectiveness in our schools. We are asking for your participation.
|The AmeriCorps Read Graduate Succeed program is looking for volunteers to help with our reading program.
We have times available both in the morning and afternoon. Our tutoring days are Monday & Thursday or Tuesday & Thursday. These are 30 minute one on one sessions with a student. Training and a background check is required before you start but is very easy to complete and there is no cost involved.
The education process requires continuous instruction, class participation, and study. Frequent absences from class disrupt this instructional process. Success in school is dependent upon good attendance. All the schools that send students to Roy High have chosen attendance as a focus this year. This combined effort is an attempt to increase Roy High's graduation rate. In an effort to help our students with attendance we are implementing a new process of communicating with parents about attendance issues at Midland Elementary. We are asking for your support in securing the regular attendance of your student.
